Road Bans/Permits

Hauling up to 75% allowed without a permit.  Permit required for anything over 75% to a max. of 80%. (100% for special equipment)

Please respect our roads and keep trucks off the shoulders.  Restrict hauling during extreme weather.

Note that Parkland Beach Road (north road)  and Sunshine Road (top of Aspen Rise) are the property of Ponoka County and as such you will require a permit from them as well.

Road Protection Agreement Permits are free of charge, please apply well in advance so the permit is issued prior to the required date.

Development Permits

An appeal may be made to the Secretary of the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board by any person affected by an order, decision or development permit of a Development Authority.

An appeal shall be made by serving a written notice of appeal to the Secretary of the Board within 14 days after the date of order, decision or development permit was issued.

Note, that pursuant to section 685(3) of the Municipal Government Act, no appeal is allowed against a development permit for a permitted use unless the bylaw was relaxed, varied, or misinterpreted.
