Solid Waste Information

Collection Schedule & Rules

Cast-A-Waste Inc. collects garbage in the Summer Village every Monday.  If Monday should fall on a holiday pick up will be the following day and will normally be a Tuesday.

Full Timers: Lidded bins can be placed at the road as long as they are put away immediately after pick up.

Part Timers/Vacationers: If you are not going to be present to put your bins away, please set them out at your property line where they can sit until your return.  If you are worried about them blowing away, we recommend that you secure them to a stake or post.

** We ask that you take the necessary steps to ensure your trash is contained in covered containers.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Village has signed a new contract with Cast-A-Waste Inc. for the collection of household waste in Parkland Beach.  In the past, the Contractor has taken loose items as a courtesy; this will no longer be done.

All household waste MUST be inside lidded containers as specified below.  Any items not in containers will be left behind by the collection company.  If the Village is required to clean up torn bags, etc... a clean up fee will be levied to the property owner.

 1st offence: Warning

2nd offence: $40.00

3rd offence: $100.00

If the problem continues the collection company will no longer pick up at your location.

Only BAGGED household waste, no yard waste or clippings, no appliances, chemicals or hazardous waste.  A Maximum of four bags per household not weighing more than 22.6kgs  (50lbs) each.  No loose items will be picked up.  If you would like to purchase containers from Cast-A-Waste Inc., contact them directly at 403-704-7159.  Please direct all other questions or concerns to the Village Office.
