The Summer Village is governed by an elected council made up of a Mayor and two Councillors. Services are administered by a year-round Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and seasonal Public Works staff.
This council’s term of office began on August 28, 2017. Elections are held every four years for all municipalities in Alberta.
The Summer Village Administration Office is open Mon, Tues, and Wed from 9 am to 4 pm for inquiries.
Council holds a regular meeting once a month, and special meetings as needed.
Members of the public are welcome to attend Council meetings as observers. Council discussion is public information, except for any “closed session” items as permitted by the FOIPP Act.
If you have concerns or ideas that you would like to share with council in person, or add to the agenda, contact the CAO at least one week prior to a Council meeting. The issue must be clearly stated in writing to allow Council & administration to prepare for an informed discussion.
