My husband, Rick and I purchased our home in Parkland Beach in 2007. We moved to the area to start our family and pursue a lifelong dream of living at the lake. With our two active boys, Nate & Carter, we are proud to call the Summer Village our year-round home. My husband is self-employed and previously served on the SVPB Council for two years. I am a grade 5 & Indigenous Literacy teacher at Ponoka Elementary School. I am currently the President of the Friends of the Lakefront committee which works to advise the Summer Village on matters pertaining to our beachfront and secure government grants for funding. Some of the recently completed projects I have led include the purchase and installation of the garbage/recycling containers, the trail signs along the beach pathways, and the adult fitness equipment. I have also worked directly with the Parkland Beach Marina Association to dredge out a deeper swim area to make the community slide safer.

After many positive experiences working with local committees and SVPB council, I look forward to solidifying a more formal role as an elected council member. I will bring my wealth of knowledge in obtaining new funding opportunities along with my desire to increase recreation facilities for the people of the Summer Village. I understand the importance of meeting the needs of those living at the lake full time or on a seasonal basis and I believe we all share the desire to enjoy all that our beautiful village has to offer.
