On Gull Lake<\/h3>\n

Parkland Beach is situated on the northern shore of Gull Lake surrounded by woodland and rolling hills. Nearby communities offer, shopping, recreation, schools, churches, and restaurants. Parkland Beach is just 15 minutes from Rimbey, 20 minutes from Bentley, and thirty minutes from Ponoka, Lacombe, and Red Deer.<\/p>\n

The Summer Village of Parkland Beach was incorporated in 1984. Open year-round to a mix of permanent residents and summer cottagers, Parkland Beach is home to population of 153 permanent residents (2016 Census) living in 68 of its 213 total private dwellings.<\/p>\n

The Summer Village of Parkland Beach spans a land area of 0.95 square kilometers. The Summer Village is governed by a three-member council as well as a chief administrative officer that oversees the day-to-day running of the Summer Village.<\/p>\n

Our Community Commitment<\/h3>\n

In partnership with dedicated community members, Parkland Beach is committed to enhancements of the Summer Village lakefront and amenities.<\/p>\n

The beach has a playground, boat launch, washrooms, adult exercise equipment, nature signs and walking trails.<\/p>\n

The Summer Village Hall facility has a seating capacity of 50 people indoors with a small kitchen and accessible washroom. An outdoor patio area may also be used in summer weather, with BBQ grills available.\u00a0 It is a great location for special occasions and family gatherings.<\/p>\n

A ball diamond is located next to the Summer Village Hall.<\/p>\n

Come Visit<\/h3>\n

The Parkland Beach store, called Jorgy’s Hot Spot, is an excellent place to stop for refreshments. It is open year-round, to provide essentials for summer and winter recreation. Adjacent to Parkland Beach, RV Heaven & Marina offers 200 boat slips, gas, and a double-wide concrete boat launch. The Summer Village is a stone\u2019s throw from the Gull Lake Golf Course, a popular executive par-three course capable of delivering a challenge for golfers of all abilities.<\/p>\n

The Summer Village of Parkland Beach offers residents and visitors a chance to get away from it all while enjoying the serene natural surroundings of the lake. In the summer months, beach-goers can take advantage of the pristine water and large sandy beach.<\/p>\n

Clear Water and Sandy Beaches<\/h3>\n

The lake is a popular destination for recreation, yet it is rarely crowded. Gull Lake is one of the only Alberta lakes that uses a pumping station, with water diverted from the Blindman River, to maintain water levels. This ensures the long-term health of the lake and consistent water levels for recreation. In the summer, residents and visitors can look forward to long days of water activities, fishing, sun-tanning, barbecuing, and pelican watching. The fun doesn\u2019t stop when it snows; Gull Lake is known for its excellent ice-fishing.
