In the regular meeting of Council on September 20, 2021, Council made the decision to upgrade two pathways:

  • the pathway connecting Parkland Place and the Summer Village office, and
  • the pathway connecting the Summer Village office to the parking lot near the marina

These pathways are now a shared use trail not exclusively for pedestrians. The purpose was to provide a designated shared use path to the marina, water and ice effective October 1,2021. All trail users should yield right-of-way to pedestrians at all times.

THANK YOU to all the volunteers who came out to work and support the Annual Reserve Clean-up.  A lot got done and the Summer Village’s reserve areas are looking great! A very special thanks to the organizers Pat and Wayne Deschamps for making the 2021 Summer Village of Parkland Beach Reserve clean up happen!!

A note from Pat and Wayne Deschamps:

The Annual Reserve Clean-up was another GREAT SUCCESS!

We had 27 volunteers come with equipment and energy to work. Great teamwork made it a Success!

We would like to thank Gary Hargest, the Summer Village Public Works foreman, for volunteering his time and hard work on his day off!

Special thanks to Scot and Devon from Triangle Construction for donating their time and equipment at our clean-up. We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish all we did without their equipment and expertise.

We would also like to thank the ladies who prepared and served the luncheon. And, thanks to those that donated the delicious baking!

Thanks to Cyril at the Summer Village office for the administrative work and support.

This was another successful reserve clean-up.  We couldn’t do it without you!!

The carts hold larger amounts for the weekend travelers and the Castawaste truck picks it up and dumps it automatically!

There has been an increased amount of homes putting garbage bags out on the curb – a definite NO-NO folks! In containers only.

Its a WIN-WIN for the Summer Village! Give them a call for immediate availability at
